What is Radon?

Radon is a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that comes from the breakdown of uranium in rock, soil, and water. It's naturally released through cracks and gaps in the ground and can enter buildings through foundations, basements, and crawl spaces. The EPA recommends that all homes be tested for radon. Radon testing kits are available at most hardware stores and home improvement centers or hire a qualified professional to test the home for radon.
