What is a home of choice contingency and why are we seeing more of them in today's market?

Due to a lack of inventory, it’s becoming increasingly common for sellers to list their home with a contingency in place that allows them time to secure another purchase before proceeding with the sale of their current home. This is called a home of choice contingency.

It allows the seller to list their home and search for another without having to pay two mortgages.
